Like the marquee, the ticket booth is detailed with neon. But there is more of interest here than just the neon! I've never seen so many informational signs on a ticket booth!
The ticket prices are painted on the ticket booth window.
The Winchester has strict parking policies. Patrons in smaller vehicles must surely appreciate these rules!
Rick Stivers wasn't happy about the chair policy! As some of you may know, he likes to place his chairs in the bed of his pickup truck. I suspect the real reason for this policy is to prevent some patrons from taking over the spaces on either sides of their vehicles. I've seen this happen more than once at the Mission!
The Winchester is the first drive-in that I've encountered that broadcasts on both AM and FM frequencies. Even more unusual, this drive-in appears to use two FM frequencies at the same time. Why? With two frequencies, patrons can switch to the second frequency if there is too much interference on the first frequency.
The ticket booth wasn't locked. In fact, the doors were open when we arrived. This is one way to prevent break-ins!
