I've now walked up the entrance lane towards the ticket booth. Note the "skirt" that has been added to the screen. Without this "skirt", patrons in the first few rows would be blinded by cars turning into the property.

Turning around, the ticket booth is clearly visible. I give this drive-in a big "thumbs up" for clearly posting their radio frequency and prices!

How often have you seen Monday night as carload night?

I've now turned left and walked into the lot. As you can see in this picture, the ticket booth is clearly located inside the lot with no fences dividing it from the parking area. I don't think I've ever seen this arrangement before.

Take a close look at the "poles" spaced out along the row. These poles were never used to support speakers. Their only purpose is to serve as parking guides. I have seen this at several drive-in theaters including the Brazos in Granbury, Texas.

Here is a view of the screen from the center of the fourth row.

Once again, note the "skirt" at the bottom of the screen and imagine what would happen if it weren't there.

A car heading south on Highway 25 would be coming in from the left side side of the picture towards the screen. It would need to make a sharp turn to enter the property. I'd estimate this turn to be approximately 150 degrees. The headlights of this car would shine across the entire lot as it made that turn before heading towards the ticket booth.

Moving down the row, I turned towards the concession stand for this shot. As you can see, a ruined screen still stands on the far side of the concession stand.

The double doors in the center of the building lead into the concession stand. The structure on top of the building is the projection booth.

As we were surveying the property, the maintenance man arrived to start the morning clean-up. Like nearly all drive-in people we've met so far, Billy was extremely friendly and was happy to take time out of his day to speak with us about the theater.

And for those of you that don't know Billy or Rick Stivers, Rick is on the left and Billy is on the right!

More Highway 25!
