Towne Twin, Loop 13 at Highway 90 East, 1959-1991:

No trace remains that we could find.  There appears to be a large, new warehouse on the right, eastbound side of Highway 90 that may have been the theater location.  On that same side, there is a large amount of undeveloped property behind the usual convenience stores and fast food outlets. 7 Dec 2000.

I think the large fenced off property on the Southeast corner of Loop 13 and Highway 90 is the former location of the Towne Twin.   Every other corner at this location has buildings or trees that are too old to have come after 1991. We will do further research to track down the exact address.

Someone had told me that apartments were on the land now. An address of Dietrich Rd, just off WW White Rd (Loop 13)? (Debbie Perry April 2001)

Well folks it looks like the location of the Towne Twin has been found thanks to Melissa. She has sent me this aerial photo of the theater from 1995.

There is a street that runs horizontal with the bottom edge of the picture.  It is Dietrich RD and the large 4 lane interstate is 410.

And here is a photo of the twin from 2001.     I plan to investigate the site with Terry soon.
