A study of the weekly Mission advertisement revealed that three new films were playing at the Mission this week. These films being "Shark Tale", "Mr. 3000" and "Ladder 49". This was the first week of release for "Shark Tale" and "Ladder 49". "Mr. 3000" had previously opened in San Antonio.
With the addition of these three new films, I had seen 4 of the 8 films being exhibited this week.
Here is the weekly comparison between the weekend Mission exhibition schedule and the top ten grossing films. Six of the top ten films were showing at the Mission this week.

I failed to visit the Mission during the movie week of 8 - 14 October 2004. Even so, for historical purposes, I've decided to provide my weekly analysis of the Mission movie exhibition schedule. Enjoy!
A study of the weekly Mission advertisement revealed that two new films were playing at the Mission this week. These films being "Taxi" and "Friday Night Lights". This was the first week of release for both films.
With the addition of these two new films, I had seen 4 of the 8 films being exhibited this week. This includes "Ladder 49" which I saw at the Mission Tiki while on a business trip to California.

Could this be the last weekend for the Mission?
In previous years, when no new films were added to the exhibition schedule, the Mission closed for the season after the Sunday night showing. Please Mr Santikos, have faith in the Mission! It's far too early to close for the season!
Without the addition of any new films, I had seen 4 of the 8 films being exhibited this week.

The best movie I saw at a drive-in this year was 'Seed of Chucky'. The worst movie, and this can't be a surprise to anyone, was ' The Day After Tomorrow'.
Here's hoping that 2005 will bring us even more great drive-in adventures!
