Montopolis Drive-In Theater

LOCATION

The location of this theater was originally described as "where Airport Boulevard meets the Houston Highway at Montopolis Bridge". The location was later described as 601 Airport Boulevard in an entry in the online edition of the Handbook of Texas.

FINAL FATE

According to the "Handbook of Texas", the Texas Blind, Deaf, and Orphan School was relocated to "the former site of the Montopolis Drive-In Theater" in 1961. It remains unknown at this time if the theater was still in operation at this point or if it had closed prior to this time.
