The location of this theater was originally described as "where
Airport Boulevard meets the Houston Highway at Montopolis
Bridge". The location was later described as 601 Airport
Boulevard in an entry in the online edition of the Handbook of
Texas.
According to the "Handbook of Texas", the Texas Blind, Deaf, and
Orphan School was relocated to "the former site of the Montopolis
Drive-In Theater" in 1961. It remains unknown at this time if
the theater was still in operation at this point or if it had
closed prior to this time.
